Lizzy Mercier Descloux – Press Color

Light in the Attic records provide another gem from way back when, re-issuing Lizzy Mercier Descloux’s debut 1979 album Press Color, and throwing in a host of her other work for good measure. Release date 14th August 2015.

Paris-born Descloux was part of the infamous New York Lower East Side scene. Light in the Attic have taken it upon themselves to bestow upon us the double LP gatefold release containing some of the tastiest grit that you’ll hear coming from the Big Apple. From dipping a toe onto the dancefloor to guitar rips that were enough to inspire people synonymous with the scene, it’ll be a definite point of interest for the collection. Grab your copy here. Thurston Moore: “her European take on minimalism and funky grooves helped make the no wave scene that much more fabulous”.
