Amsterdam duo return to the esteemed Brooklyn imprint Razor-N-Tape, after a string of remixes for the label, the pair release the funky-as-ever four track EP – ‘Whiskey Ginger’.
Daniel Leseman and Hans Peeman are no strangers to putting out groovers, releasing individually under their own monikers, producing together as Fouk and through their own label Outplay. Over the last few years the pair have been stacking up a back catalogue of funk and disco heavy floor fillers, through the likes of Razor-N-Tape, Sleazy Beats and German based crew Rose Records.
‘Whiskey Ginger’ picks up from where they left of after a string of remixes, the title track features the same intricate synth lines and foot stomping percussion we’ve learned to love from the pair, each release seems to be a guaranteed groover.
The ‘Whiskey Ginger EP’ is out now on 12″ vinyl and the digital version will be following up shortly. Take a listen to the title track below, premiered by ‘Music Is 4 Lovers’.
We caught up with Hans last summer to talk about his own productions, side project Fouk, and everything in between, give it a read here if you missed it.
