After several impressive outings on the likes of R&S, FINA and Dutch imprint Royal Oak, Takuya Matsumoto returns to his roots on Iero Japan with the ‘SWEETRAINSUITE EP’.
Takuya Matsumoto has been quietly building a name for himself over the past couple of years, compiling a back catalogue of carefully crafted house tracks, garnering support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Lone and Floating Points along the way.
The ‘SWEETRAINSUITE EP’ takes us on a rainy summer’s journey from it’s opener ‘Storm’. Combining sparse percussion, subtle vocals and tumbling synth lines, just as in previous releases the distinct lack of elements allows each part to shine on it’s own.
B-side ‘Red Radio’ has just seen a premiere via Stamp The Wax, and you can pick up the full EP via Clone. Preview are available to stream below.
