Jamison Isaak aka Teen Daze shares debut track ‘Ocean City’ for his latest project Pacific Coliseum via London label Coastal Haze.
Emerging from the battering of rain we’ve had this winter in the Pacific Northwest comes new project from Jamison Isaak just in time for Spring. Title track ‘Ocean City‘ is a hazy, glistening beat that transports you to sunnier times. After recently releasing his latest visual album ‘Themes For A Dying Earth‘, which saw Isaak return to his more ambient roots, ‘Ocean City’ brings a more Balearic vibe complete with off-beat congas and a four-to-the-floor stomp. The first few minutes let the drums and bassline go on their own, sampling Goya’s House At The Sea, until the introduction of the hazy, filtered guitar chords half-way through that really top the track off – reminiscent of Todd Terje‘s remix of ‘Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes‘.
The album is due for release on April 3rd and is available for pre-order on digital and limited cassette via the Coastal Haze Bandcamp page. I can see this one on a few wishful thinking summer playlists already.
