Get down to Ealing Jazz festival on the weekend of the 29th of July to be met by the delights of saxophonist Kenny Garret and his quintet. With past collaborations including Sting, Q tip and Herbie Hancock you cannot afford to miss the quintets only summer appearance this year.
Joining the Grammy-award winning saxophonist Kenny Garrett Quintet is Courtney Pine and Omar bringing the best of British soul jazz, 12 piece jazz/dub fusion outfit Nubiyan Twist, and the afrobeat legend Ebo Taylor; all appearing where has been the traditional stomping ground for new acts in Ealing, West London.
With the lineup featuring a sample of world music’s top acts alongside future big hitters, the 2017 Ealing Jazz festival in Walpole Park is one not to miss on the years calendar. Pick of the burgeoning acts are the jazz trio, Mammal Hands. Backed by Bonobo and Gilles Peterson, Mammal Handsexplore electronically informed jazz patterns, taking influence from various forms of world music. Full line up is available to see below!
