Trudy and the Romance release ‘Twist It, Shake It. Rock & Roll’

Liverpudlian trio Trudy and the Romance have an infectious sound straight from your favourite party. The love drunk guitarist rasping a melody with a pint and cigarette. No smooth edges and would be worse off for it. The second single to come from the Junkyard Jazz EP was released Wednesday 19th. Listen to Twist It, Shake It. Rock & Roll below.

Making their way around the UK on a headline tour, the Junkyard Jazz EP promises to shake up geometric beige wallpapered room up and down the island with their chorus of woah’s and greased back vocals. Recorded with its live aesthetic well intact at Stockport’s Eve studio and released through B3SCI Records, the sound had it’s own inspirations on writing;

“For a while, I’ve wanted to write a record with the swagger of Jonathan Richman. Jonathan like the Beatles, Beach Boys and Springsteen cheers me up whatever the weather. My head was still a little mashed after someone I care about deeply got badly. Twist It, Shake It. Rock & Roll is a record for the stiff necks to lighten up a little; to love and understand what you actually want and not listen to the gang. See where it goes with a new flame. A true friend loves you for who you are. I’m an old soul and I miss the old world.”
