Bombay Bicycle Club frontman Jack Steadman returns with another new track from his side project Mr Jukes, this time featuring the soulful vocals of Charles Bradley.
After announcing the hiatus of Bombay Bicycle Club, Jack Steadman picked up where he left off on his Soundcloud account, over the last six years he has quietly been putting out his own material and remixes including Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Changing his moniker to Mr Jukes, Steadman has already given us a glimpse of his latest album ‘God First’, releasing ‘Tears ft Alexandria’ and ‘Angels/Your Love ft BJ the Chicago Kid’, which sounds like a Gorillaz track that never got made.
The latest cut has to be the best of the bunch so far, sampling a slice from the late American jazz-guitar player of the same name, it’s a gospel-soul-pop anthem. Charles Bradley also returns after taking some time out, recently battling Cancer. Check out the video below directed by Anna Ginsburg & Parallel Teeth.
Check out some of Jack Steadman’s earlier productions from his Bombay Bicycle Club era, sounding more like Joy O.
